Following Surgery

Following your surgery, you will be taken to a recovery room. The length of time you will need to recover depends on the nature of your surgery. Most patients are ready for discharge after one or two hours of rest.

When you are ready to go home, you will receive instructions regarding your post-operative care. These instructions will include information about medications, diet and rest requirements. For your safety, it is important that you do not drive, operate machinery or drink alcoholic beverages for at least 24 hours following your surgery.
